In this series of meditation classes you will learn how to identify with your highest spiritual potential and how, through practicing six traditional meditations taught by Buddha, you can bring abundant joy and peace into your life. These meditations (known as the ‘six perfections’) are steeped in Buddhist wisdom and are perfectly suited to modern life – helping us to build a foundation of inner peace within our busy and often stressful lives.
You do not need to be a Buddhist to attend these meditation classes and they are attended by people from all walks of life. The classes include two guided meditations (15 minutes each) and a 30 minute talk related to the evenings topic. There is also the opportunity to ask questions and enjoy refreshments after the class.
This event is taught by Gen Kelsang Chodor. Our resident teacher, Kelsang Chodor, is a western Buddhist Monk. Ordained in 2001, he is a close disciple of Geshe-la and has studied and practised Buddhism for many years. He is much loved for his relaxed and gentle nature and teaches with great clarity, insight and wisdom, skilfully guiding people to inner peace and happiness in their lives.
