Calm Your MInd – The Building Blocks for Successful Meditation is designed to give you the encouragement and support you need to build confidence in your meditation practice whether you are just starting out or have already begun a practice.
The series will cover the fundamentals of meditation from the Buddhist point of view and offer short and simple guided meditations. Classes will offer practical advice and cover key principles to help you break through any barriers to regular and effective meditation. Everyone is welcome!
The module consists of five consecutive weeks, each with a unique topic to build your meditation practice.
Attend one or more of the following beginner meditation classes:
Week One: What is Meditation and How Do We Begin Meditation?
Week Two: Understanding the Benefits of Meditation
Week Three: The Peace of Concentration
Week Four: Mindfulness in Meditation and Daily Life
Week Five: Exploring Contemplative and Placement Meditation and Practice with Meditation on Giving Love

This event is taught by Lisa Hoffman . Lisa Hoffman has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism since 2013 and is on the Teacher Training Program at KMC Florida. With her clear and gentle presentation of Buddha’s teaching she makes it easily accessible for newcomers.
