In this three day guided weekend retreat Gen Rigpa, the Western US National Spiritual Director on the New Kadampa Tradition, will guide a retreat on the Kadampa Buddhist practice of Medicine Buddha. This practice was taught by Buddha 2,500 years ago as a special method to heal our mind of negativity and to remove the underlying causes of all physical sickness. The practice of Medicine Buddha also enables us to develop a tremendously peaceful mind and unlock our innate potential heal others using the power of our faith, imagination, and wisdom.
Each guided meditation session will include practical instructions and time for meditation. Our live stream retreats give people the opportunity to fully immerse into meditation which can be a truly transformational experience. You do not need to be a Buddhist to join our meditation retreats and they are attended by people from all walks of life.
The guided meditations on this weekend retreat will be based upon the teachings of this years International Kadampa Buddhist Fall Festival. This festival is attended by thousands of people from around the world and, open to everyone, includes teachings, advice, and guided meditation from the most senior Teachers within Kadampa Buddhism.

When you register for the retreat you will be sent a link to a landing page on our website where you can watch the live streamed retreat sessions through YouTube. The video recordings of the retreat sessions will be available for 5 days after it is live streamed for all those who register.

This event is taught by Gen Kelsang Rigpa. He is an American Buddhist monk, the Western US National Spiritual Director and the Resident Teacher at KMC-Hollywood. He is a close disciple of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, having received lineage blessings and oral transmissions directly from him. Gen Rigpa’s heartfelt and practical teachings are presented with warmth and humor, making them accessible to everyone. He shows the joy of living a spiritual life, and is an inspiring example of Buddhism in practice. Through his clear presentation, he is able to help students discover for themselves how to integrate these timeless teachings into our modern world, making everyday life joyful and meaningful.
