Healing Practices Within Kadampa Buddhism
Friday, October 16th, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
About This Event
In this Friday Night Lecture we will explore different Buddhist healing practices that help overcome physical sicknesses and mental pain. In particular, the evening will include an introduction to the meditation practices of Buddha Amitayus (the Buddha of long life) and Medicine Buddha (the Buddha of healing), and will conclude with a short guided meditation related to Medicine Buddha practice.
This Friday Night Lecture will be a perfect stepping stone and preparation for those wishing to attend the New Kadampa Tradition live stream Fall Festival “Healing the mind ~ The supreme medicine of faith & wisdom”. The main emphasis of this festival is the healing practice of Medicine Buddha and is open to everyone. It is an annual event of teachings and meditations led by the most senior teachers within the New Kadampa Tradition. More information can be found here: (https://kadampafestivals.org/).
