New Year’s Eve Celebration & Virtual Open House (Live-Stream)
Thursday, December 31st, 8:15 pm - 10:15 pm
About This Event
Our special New Year’s Eve celebration will be live streamed from the KMC Florida World Peace Temple and is a great opportunity for you to conclude 2020 as you wish to continue in 2021 – with a peaceful heart and loving mind filled with good intentions and inspiration.
The evening will start with a fun and informative tour of the Kadampa World Peace Temple by our Education Program Coordinator, Ana Ramirez and TTP Student, Elizabeth Barrett.
Then our Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Dorje, will give a teaching on and guide us in the Avalokiteshvara Sadhana: Prayers and Requests to the Buddha of Compassion.
Avalokiteshvara is an enlightened being who is the manifestation of the compassion of all the Buddhas. Through sincerely practicing the instructions presented in this sadhana we can first solve our own daily problems by controlling our desire, anger, and ignorance, and then with this ability we can lead others to a correct spiritual path through which they can find the real meaning of human life.
