• Offering Our Faith – Celebrating the 90th birthday of Venerable Geshe-la

  • About This Event

    On June 4th in celebration of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s 90th birthday we will offer a special Offering to the Spiritual Guide Prayers at 6pm to 8pm.  You can register by clicking on this link : Offering to the Spiritual Guide – Geshe-La’s Birthday

    Every day we remember the extraordinary kindness of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, our Root Guru and Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition. On Saturday June 5th,  with minds of rejoicing and gratitude we will offer our faith through using the special prayer  Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerble Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples and collect our Guru’s name mantra in this special morning retreat.

    There will be two sessions of retreat using the sadhana The Hundreds of Deities of the Joyful Land According to Highest Yoga Tantra and the special request prayer. Both of these sadhanas are available at the KMC Florida Gift shop.     This event is taught by Gen Dorje. Gen Dorje has been studying and practicing Buddhism for over 20 years under the guidance of his teacher Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition. Gen Dorje is admired for his warmth and humor in making Buddha’s teachings relevant to the modern world. He is an inspiring example of how to integrate Buddha’s teachings into a joyful life.

    Live streaming classes booked on this website are only open for those local to KMC Florida. To help build a sense of local community, we ask those living in Florida, closer to Tampa, Safety Harbor, Fort Myers, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, and Orlando, to receive live stream classes from these local Kadampa Meditation/Buddhist Centers.

    Refunds and Cancellation

    • Registrants can cancel participation to a live class and receive a full refund by emailing treasurerkmcfl@gmail.com at least 24 hours before the start time of the class.
    • No refunds are given within 24 hours of any class unless there are unique circumstances that are submitted in writing to treasurerkmcfl@gmail.com
