Our Compassion – The Jewel of Enlightenment
Friday Night Talk
Within the purity of our heart lies the seed of our Buddha nature – this potential is called compassion. Compassion is the very essence of a spiritual life and the main practice of those who have devoted their lives to attaining pure and lasting peace. Compassion is an inner power that does not make us discouraged or depressed but gives us energy, confidence, and the ability to be of real benefit to others. There is no better time to put our compassion into action than now.
Developing compassion and wisdom, and helping those in need whenever possible, is the true meaning of human life. by increasing our compassion, we become closer to enlightenment and to the fulfillment of our deepest wishes.
