The Buddhist Way of Loving Kindness

    Lojong – training the mind

    with Gen Kelsang Gomlam

The New Eight Steps to Happiness is an immensely popular book in which, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, reveals powerful methods for developing universal love and compassion, the source of true happiness for both ourself and others.

Based on the famous Eight Verses of Training the Mind by the great Bodhisattva, Langri Tangpa, this inspiring book shows with extraordinary clarity how to transform all life’s difficulties into valuable spiritual insights that help us improve our relationships and develop greater patience, empathy and compassion in our daily life.

In our Tuesday evening drop in classes through inspiring teachings and guided meditations you will gain valuable insight to these verses that will transform your life.

“It is time we sought happiness from a different source. Happiness is a part of the mind that experiences inner peace, or peace of mind, so the real source of happiness must lie within the mind, not in external conditions. If our mind is pure and peaceful, we will be happy, regardless of our external circumstances, but if it is impure and unpeaceful, we will never be happy, no matter how hard we try to change our external conditions.”
