Public Talk with Kelsang Chopag

Everyone has the capacity to tap into an endless supply of inner peace and happiness. Modern Buddhism presents the meditations and the techniques that we need in order to achieve. We can learn to choose happiness throughout our life. In this talk, Kelsang Chopag will explain the methods that free us from negative emotions, making joy, happiness and meaning our everyday reality. This talk will also serve as an introduction to the Lamrim Retreat from August 26th – 30th. Class fee: $10 (Included for Temple Supporters)
Kelsang Chopag is the Resident Teacher of Samudrabadra Kadampa Buddhist Center in Fort Myers, Florida. He teaches meditation classes, workshops and retreats across the Southwest Florida area. He is an ordained Buddhist monk who has trained under Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and other qualified teachers. Chopag began his practice at Kadampa Meditation Center New York, an internationally renowned meditation and retreat center in upstate New York. While in New York, he spent several years learning and practicing the meditative teachings of Buddha. His teachings are light, humorous and practical, and he uses logic and analogies to help others discover the meaning of Buddha’s teachings.
