    2019 Florida Dharma Celebration with Eastern US National Spiritual Director Kadam Morten Clausen
    Empowering our Spiritual Life through the Practice of Tantra with Blessing Empowerment of Buddha Vajrapani

    At this year’s Florida Dharma Celebration, we will explore the practice of Tantra and how we can use it to empower our spiritual life. In particular Tantra teaches us how everything in our life, our relationships, jobs, and enjoyments can be integrated into a powerful and joyful process of inner development, drawing us ever closer to actualizing our true nature. Tantric teachings give us a clear and beautiful vision of who we can be and, in the practice known as ‘correct imagination’,  the method for actualizing that extraordinary potential swiftly. The weekend will also include the Blessing Empowerment of Buddha Vajrapani. An empowerment is a special Buddhist ceremony of guided meditation and visualization that completely uplifts and inspires our mind.

  • Accommodation Options

    KMC Florida has a variety of on-site accommodation options including single, double, and triple occupancy rooms as well as a male and female dorm. We also have ample bathroom facilities for our guests. Staying onsite in our comfortable accommodation gives our retreat and class participants the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the meditation retreat or course they are attending.

  • The Teacher

    This event is taught by Kadam Morten Clausen. Kadam Morten Clausen is the Eastern US National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition and Resident Teacher at the Kadampa Meditation Center New York City, and also Bodh Gaya Center in Bayside, Queens. For over 30 years he has been a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, who gave him the title “Kadam,” indicating that he is a senior lay teacher of the Kadampa Tradition. Kadam Morten is greatly admired as a meditation teacher and is especially known for his clarity, humor and inspirational presentation of Dharma. His teachings are always practical and easy to apply to everyday life. Through his gentle and joyful approach and his peaceful example, he has helped many people find true happiness in their hearts.

    Live streaming classes booked on this website are only open for those local to KMC Florida. To help build a sense of local community, we ask those living in Florida, closer to Tampa, Safety Harbor, Fort Myers, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, and Orlando, to receive live stream classes from these local Kadampa Meditation/Buddhist Centers.

    • The fee for the live stream classes is per person - links to the classes are not to be shared
    • Classes are offered live and online. Unless stated, a video recording is not available afterward

    Refunds and Cancellation

    • Registrants can cancel participation to a live class and receive a full refund by emailing treasurerkmcfl@gmail.com at least 24 hours before the start time of the class.
    • No refunds are given within 24 hours of any class unless there are unique circumstances that are submitted in writing to treasurerkmcfl@gmail.com
    • KMC FL has done its best to provide a good quality live-stream service. We cannot be responsible for the internet speed, lagging, video or sound quality of the personal devices used by people to receive the live stream.
