Gen Kelsang Chodor
Resident Teacher at KMC Florida
Our resident teacher, Gen Kelsang Chodor, is a western Buddhist Monk. Ordained in 2001, he is a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and has studied and practiced Buddhism for many years. He is much loved for his relaxed and gentle nature and teaches with great clarity, insight and wisdom, skillfully guiding people to inner peace and happiness in their lives.
Kelsang Sangzin is an ordained Buddhist nun and the Education Program Coordinator at KMC Florida. She has been sincerely studying Kadampa Buddhism since 2009, and began teaching in 2010. She is appreciated for her kindness, humor, and practical advice for daily life.
Wednesday Beginners Classes
Elizabeth Barrett has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for over 10 years and is a senior student at KMC Florida. Elizabeth teaches through her own experience and provides great encouragement in practicing Dharma.
Monday Lunchtime Meditations
Samir Hanna has recently started teaching meditation classes at KMC Florida. He provides clear and joyful teachings on how to practice meditation and the Buddhist way of life. Samir teaches Lunchtime Meditations every Monday.
Friday Lunchtime Meditations
Lisa Hoffman has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism since 2013 and is on the Teacher Training Program at KMC Florida. With her clear and gentle presentation of Buddha’s teaching she makes it easily accessible for newcomers. She teaches Lunchtime Meditations every Friday.
Wednesday Lunchtime Meditations
Salena Alberti is a sincere student and has taught in Kadampa Buddhist Centers in Philadelphia and Baltimore. She teaches Wednesday Lunchtime Meditations and is known for clarity and warmth when she teaches.

Angus Berry has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for more than 20 years and has received many teachings directly from Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. He is known for the clarity and hearfelt presentation of Buddha’s teachings.
Sunday Practice Classes
Kelsang Kalden is an American Buddhist nun. She has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism under the guidance and direction of renowned teacher Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition, for many years. She is known for her loving kindness, sincere dedication to serving others, and for her boundless energy and good humor.
Sunday Kids Class Teacher
Lance Gurney is one of our kids class meditation teachers. He is well loved for his friendly, warm, and kind approach who has great skill in teaching meditation topics to kids in a way they can easily understand and enjoy.
Lloyd Comeau has been studying Kadam Buddhism for over a year. He is known for his high energy, enthusiasm and wish to deeply understand and share Buddha’s teachings.
Sunday Kids Class Teacher
Brad Tanner has be studying Kadam Buddhism for a several years, and is one of our kids class teachers. He truly practices what he teaches, and uses Dharma in his everyday life to create inner peace while helping others.

We are canceling all in-person classes and chanted prayers at the Temple starting Monday, March 16th. We will be providing live streaming classes starting Tuesday evening, March 24th so we can continue to offer our community access to Buddha's wisdom teachings.
